Ann Curry Speaks Up – Interview with USA Today
While we’ve worked at a couple news associations we still don’t understand the way they go about “leaking” information on their own. Ann Curry has endured cringe-worthy public humiliation this week with the leak that she was getting the axe from her co-anchor duties. We’ve watched the Today show and honestly she wasn’t the right fit. Blame it on her bedroom voice or on Savannah Guthrie, who just has that “it” factor. (We wrote about Savannah’s appeal a few months ago) You can’t create that kind of appeal – you either have it or you don’t. Fortunately Ann has handled it with dignity – showing up for work every day and being as professional as ever. USA Today gets the exclusive first interview with Ann as she deals with this emotional transition publicly.
