Green Puppies Surprise Spanish Dog Breeder

We thought green dogs only existed in Dr. Seuss books. However, a Spanish dog breeder got quite a surprise when her dog gave birth to two green puppies. The breeder, Aida Vellelado Molina, said she thought they might be dirty and even tried to wash them off. Unfortunately, one of the puppies died shortly after birth. The local vets are conducting tests to find out what could have caused the green coloring. The Daily Mail said they reported another green puppy being born back in 2012 in England.  At the time the cause was attributed to a substance called biliverdin which can be found in the placenta.
