Michelle Pfeiffer is Featured in Two Hit Songs … at Age 56
Proving she’s still relevant at 56 years old Michelle Pfeiffer is featured prominently in two popular songs right now. Both songs, released last year, have been big hits – consistently making the top 50 songs on iTunes and Billboard. The first song we heard her name in was Riptide by newcomer Vance Joy, who has said he loves her movies and that in the Fabulous Baker Boys she embodied the beautiful woman. In the next song, Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson, she is mentioned along side the lyrics white gold – likely referring to her role in Scarface where she played a cocaine addict. We are dying to know what she thinks of this recent adulation!
The video for Uptown Funk has been viewed over 100 million times on YouTube. The song actually mentions Michelle in the opening line. Mark Ronson told Billboard they knew they were onto something exciting when they wrote those specific lyrics.
We love this song and the video for Riptide does not disappoint – it’s very creative. It’s already been viewed over 43 million times.
